Zagreb Gourmet Tour


On this tour you will not only get to visit all the famous attrac­tions and learn about Zagreb, you will have a “taste” of Croa­tia. After a 2 hour walk in the city cen­tre we will visit the win­ner of the first Croa­t­ian Mas­terChef where you will learn about the gas­tron­omy from all the Croa­t­ian regions and taste the best wines, oils, truf­fles and many other deli­cious stuff.


Your friendly guide will pick you up at your accom­mo­da­tion and take you to the Old part of Zagreb where your first visit the Zagreb´s Cathe­dral which is sit­u­ated in the part of the city Kap­tol. After learn­ing about the his­tory you will visit the farm­ers mar­ket Dolac and walk down to Tkalci­ceva street, the favourite place where locals spend their free time. We will pass the Bloody bridge and get to the Old town Gradec where we will visit many famous attrac­tions like the Stone gate, St. Mark´s square, City hall, Museum of Bro­ken Rela­tion­ships, Lotrscak tower and many more. To have a short rest we will go to the Lower town by the short­est funic­u­lar in the world where you will have a chance to relax for a full 1 minute. After explor­ing the attrac­tions of the Lower town we are finally at our last stop, at a place called Croa­t­ian Food Her­itage. This restaurant/​shop was opened by the first win­ner of the Croa­t­ian Mas­terChef con­test who wanted to com­bine all the best from Croa­tia in one place. First you will hear about the vari­ety of the Croa­t­ian gas­tron­omy and oenol­ogy and start tasting:

  • the famous Croa­t­ian rak­ija — fig, honey or cherry liqueur —
  • honey from Hvar island and 3 types of olive oil from Istria region
  • 5 cro­bites — salted anchovies with wild oregano, mar­i­nated anchovies, sausage with pep­pers Baranja, cot­tage cheese with pump­kin pesto, truf­fle and smoked ham
  • 3 glasses of wine — Plavac Mali, Din­gač and Istrian Malvazija
  • dessert — Dal­ma­t­ian chocolate
  • a sou­venir gift

*Note: there is a pos­si­bil­ity of non alco­holic menu After spoil­ing your­self your guide will take you back to your accom­mo­da­tion or rec­om­mend you some other places to visit in the city.
